ChildCareInfo.com is creating a Learning Center section.  We want to provide the child care profession with webinars, in-person trainings and other ways to continue development in the child care profession, this includes business management skills.

We are searching the web for different active webinar schedules, trainings, videos and podcasts but we won’t be able to find them all!

ChildCareInfo is asking for your assistance.  Either comment below or send in companies, individuals or entities that are providing trainings that you think are relevant to the child care industry.

We will need:
  1. Contact Name (if available)
  2. Website Link
  3. Training Specialization (topics)
  4. Type of Training (webinar, podcast, video, in-person)
  5. Regional or National

If you would like to be featured within the Learning Center or on ChildCareInfo.com contact me here.

This is what we have compiled so far http://www.diigo.com/list/sdaleiden/learning-center

Please comment below with your organization's information or a referral of a website/organization that you used and like.  A referral would be great too!  if you would rather email me the information, please do so here

**ChildCareInfo.com reserves the right to post or not to post the information provided.

Re: Calling All Child Care Profession Trainers

The State of Ohio uses the Ohio Professional Development Network (OPDN). All 88 Ohio counties are represented. The Resource & Referral Agencies, HMG (Help Me Grow) & PBS are the primary agencies that currently have their trainings listed. The website it http://www.opdn.org/

Re: Calling All Child Care Profession Trainers

I am a Developmental Psychologist and an Education Consultant in Connecticut, and I speak on many issues and topics related to early child development, early childhood education, parenting and family dynamics. Some of my more recent presentations have been on Discipline and Setting Limits (in the home and in the classroom); I Need Support! (Coping with stressors during Childhood and within the Family); Positivism in the Classroom (creating an optimal place and attitude for learning); Team Building (Creating a Team that YOU would want to be a part of); and Be Wise to the WHYs (Applying what is observed to what is done in the classroom). This last one is based on my book, The View from the Little Chair in the Corner.

I make my presentations in person, and speak with groups at the local, state, regional and national level. The material I present is simple, sound and straightforward, but based on solid theory and professional experience. My style is warm, inviting and humorous, and everyone will come away with some tidbit that will be helpful and worthwhile.
